I qualified as a counsellor in 2013 and have been with The Road Centre since June 2016. I trained in a primarily Person Centred approach, which means I focus on the relationship in an empathic and non-judgemental way. However, as each client is unique, I integrate other models where I feel appropriate. I believe that the relationship is paramount to effective counselling and by establishing this co-created relationship positive change is able to occur.

I have practiced for the last 5 years. During this time I have worked with children (including children in the care system), young people and adults. In addition I also have experience in facilitating counselling with the primary care giver and child to promote stronger positive, relationships and attachments.

I enjoy working creatively as I feel this enables some clients to express themselves more easily when the words are not easily found. In particular with children who often communicate non-verbally.

I am a registered member of the BACP and adhere to their ethics and guidelines.
